For once there are no tears to cry

My eyes remain dry

The thought of a Savior enters my mind

There’s something about Him that keeps my heart intact despite the storm

Despite the worry, my eyes remain focused on Him

Thinking my hardest on what I did and I no longer recognize my past

The pain of the past can no longer touch me

With my Savior I am invincible

In my Savior’s arms is where I find joy and love

I can’t see His face but I know His heart

I search for Him knowing He’s here holding my heart in His hands

With each beat He smiles

I do it all unto Him

Because of my Savior, those chains of the world cannot hold me captive

I broke free

You can’t touch me!

My Savior has my world in His hands

He reigns, He made a home in me and He’s here to stay!

“…I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on…” Phil. 3:13-14

New Beginnings –

Happy New Year! We pray that everyone had a blessed and enjoyable Christmas with friends and loved ones. The Christmas season reminds us of the amazing love God has for us and his perfect plan through the gift of his son, Jesus.

A new year brings thoughts of new beginnings, renewals and commitments. Almost everyone at this time has made some kind of a new year’s resolution. We vow that “this year will be different; I’m going to change!” But how long do we actually stick to our resolutions? Why is it so difficult?

Whether it is good habits we want to start or bad habits we want to break, we must be motivated to change. Our resolution to change must be motivated by our love for God and our desires to imitate and please him. Remember, only God can change us; we can do nothing on our own. “If you commit yourself to the Lord and trust Him, He will accomplish His will for you.” ~Psalm 37:5

It’s 2012, a time for new beginnings and desires. For many of us, it’s a fresh start. God provides all the ways for us to change. We can change to be what He wants. He gives motivation, guidance, and encouragement. All that is required is for us to be determined to follow His will and then act on that decision. What change will you make?

This is the generation of those who seek Him, who inquire of and for Him. ~Psalm 24:6
